Ten national media journalists recently experienced the very best of Álava’s gastronomy. The delegation visited the historic Salt Valley of Añana before we had the absolute honour of welcoming them to our table and winning them over with our cuisine.

Following a previous visit in March by journalists from thirteen different countries eager to discover our regional food scene, it was now the turn of the domestic press. A total of ten professionals travelled to Vitoria to immerse themselves in the culinary excellence that earned the city its Gastronomic Capital title.

The group included journalists from prominent media outlets such as Radio Nacional, ABC, and La Sexta, alongside representatives from leading travel and lifestyle publications including Ronda Iberia, Yo Dona, Rutas del Mundo, and Top Viajes, as well as the international newspaper Novie Izvestia. Among them, the renowned José María Íñigo—now a collaborator for Radio Nacional—stood out for his distinguished career.
